Who You Are...

The leader of the Partnerships and Insights reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer and works closely with the executive team as well as leaders of corporate functions across the company. The role's focus is to create continuous improvement in Promethean's product strategies, influencing partnerships and revenue streams, product messaging/launch, and supporting the enablement to new market exploration.

The ideal candidate will be able to direct a research function to invent new capabilities that support the company business strategies. You connect the dots and ensure that the customer voice is heard, synthesized into tangible deliverables, supported by thematic messaging, and launched into market in a comprehensive way.

You know how to foster input channels including competitive intelligence, customer engagements and internal innovation. You are passionate about driving forward a culture of decision making built on analytical thinking. Finally, you have fostered a talent for mediating contending interests and finding creative solutions.

As a Vice President of Partnerships and Insights, you will:

• Collaborate with key functional areas, business unit leadership and senior executives in order to ensure product messaging, roadmap and channel readiness support key business strategies.


• Manage a shared services cross functional team comprised of Research, Launch Management, 3rd Party Partnerships, Product Marketing, and Sales Enablement Insights.


• Ensure customer satisfaction, revenue and unit target execution by collaborating with Product Management, Engineering & UX with the Product and Engineering organization, and working with Regional Marketing, Channel Management and Sales as well globally.


• Conduct research to determine product priorities and strategies that maximize perceived customer value - including the use of telemetry, focus groups/surveys, independent research, and exploratory discussions with major technology providers.


• Ensure the development of Product Launch schedules and content via Product Marketing and Launch teams - core product messages, demo scripting for impact, major themes and sales enablement materials used for training to result in world-class marketing and sales practices.


• Use strategic and critical thinking to define both in-house development targets as well as partnership opportunities and refine each of these so that Product Management and Engineering can execute against those targets.


• Participate in Product retrospectives and improvement plans for next generation products.


• Effectively champion sales enablement insights through product innovation, launch prioritization and content/tools working closely with Field Sales and Channel teams.


• Demonstrate the ability to set strategy, drive performance, produce superior results, cultivate ownership and collaboration cross functionally.


• Communicate effectively while artfully influencing, persuading and driving action.


• Manage collaboratively with a strong customer service orientation.

Requirements:

• 15+ years combined experience in product strategy, research, launch management and cross functional team management.


• 5+ years international leadership experience in a shared services environment.


• Ability to mentor others.


• Ability to work flexible work hours in an international, multicultural business environment.


• Experience driving initiatives to meet aggressive timelines.


• Demonstrated ability to translate complex product strategies into solid implementation plans, to "look around corners" to anticipate possible customer benefits or issues.


• Executive level communication and presentation skills.


• Successful experience implementing Six Sigma, Agile, or Scrum Master methodologies a plus.
