LEWISGALE HOSPITAL MONTGOMERY (LGHM) is located in the beautiful mountainous region of Virginia, in the backyard of the VIRGINIA TECH UNIVERSITY campus. LGHM is a Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) hospital and is a 146-bed acute care facility. Most importantly, we hold a distinction for being a Magnet Facility and are recognized by the Joint Commission as a Top Performer.
THE FOLLOWING DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS WILL BE REQUIRED OF THIS ROLE:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to register and pre-registered Obstetric patients and process patient information.
*
Uses computer proficiently.
*
Communicates effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers.
*
Maintains integrity of physical environment and equipment.
*
Pursues opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth.
*
Scrubs C-sections and demonstrates knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
*
Prior hospital experience and medical terminology (preferred)
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
*
Certification as a surgical scrub technologist (preferred)
*
American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Healthcare Provider upon hire or within 90 days of employment (required)
HOURS:
*
PRN (hours vary)
*
Weekend & Holidays (as needed)
