The Role
A Lead Software Engineer is responsible for creating full-stack applications and integrations within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform. This person should also be a true leader with the technical prowess to inspire, support and lead the Software Engineers. Ideally, this person should also have a deep visual eye and some sense of overall design, layout, typography as well as UI/UX knowledge.

The primary functions of this role include but are not limited to:
• 1. Develop features and develop applications
• These should meet business requirements and timelines
• 2. Maintain and improve the quality of our applications
• 3. Coach, train and lead the Software Engineers as well as our UI Developers
• 4. Work within an agile team and help to scope business requests

We’d love to hear from people with
• Bachelor’s (B.A.) or higher-level degree in computer science or related field (preferred)
• +5 years of equivalent work experience
• Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer Certification (preferred)
• Proficiency with web-related technologies:
• HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS/STYLUS, etc.)
• JavaScript (AJAX, jQuery, NPM, Node, etc.)
• Knowledge in SPA (Backbone, Knockout, Vue, Angular, REACT, etc.)
• Knowledge with TDD and/or BDD (Mocha, Jasmine, Jest, etc.)
• Experience with Task Runner/Build Tools (GULP, GRUNT, etc.)
• Comfortable with Version Control (GIT, Subversion)
• In-depth experience working with APIs
• Experience with at least one high-level programming language (i.e. Java, C#, C++, iOS/Swift, PHP, Ruby)
• Some experience working with databases, relational or non-relational
