As a Partner is our Human-centered Design (HCD) practice, within your role you will co-own the responsibility to develop/iterate/improve Cognizant’s multi-disciplinary HCD approach alongside skill development of our HCD team, lead teams through the executive sponsorship of end-to-end client engagements, partner with the broader Cognizant organization to craft impactful solutions for clients, support the acquisition of project opportunities and most importantly nurture culture of empowerment, collaboration and inclusion.   This role uniquely offers the ability to lead a team by example, as we together work to make experiences better for people.

• Bridge the distance between intimacy and industrialization to craft experiences at scale


• Develop world-class HCD practitioners who are as passionate about their craft, as they are for realizing experiences at scale


• Partner with clients and across Cognizant to identify and capture challenges that allow us to make experiences better for people


• Nurture an inclusive culture across Interactive studios


• Lead by example, take calculated risks, and make the work we do matter.

Your role as a leader:

• Lead teams of Strategists (Foresight, Business and Experience/Service Designers), Insight Practitioners (Ethnographers, Design Researchers and Behavioral Scientists), and Product Realization specialist to identify transformative opportunities, as well as enable the realization of product and service experience innovation


• Develop and grow client relationships


• Collaborate with other HCD Partners to elevate the Strategy, Insight and Product Realization toolkits and capabilities of the team


• Evolve the HCD offerings, delivery models, and deliverables alongside HCD Partners and the broader Cognizant collaborators


• Elevate the development and career trajectory of project and direct line practitioners


• Navigate relationships across Cognizant’s matrix organization to create partnerships with horizontal (delivery teams) and vertical (industry teams) leads


• Create connections across global guilds (Strategy and Human Insight) and communities practice (Human-centered Design) within Cognizant


• Advocate for Cognizant’s HCD expertise via thought leadership generation.

Role Requirements:

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience


• 5+ years in leadership experience


• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related fields - business, social sciences, design, and technology


• Expertise in leading, developing and managing multidisciplinary teams


• Proven track record of working within large matrix organizations to deliver real-world results


• Experience driving project acquisition (new business and follow-on)
