Under the general supervision of the Rehab Director or designee, the Rehab Services Coordinator is responsible for all clinical functions of the designated

teams and/or assigned roles and responsibilities within the Rehab Department. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment and optimization of the quality of patient care services provided by the unit. As necessary, the Rehab Services Coordinator provides a full range of therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in a team environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

As a management position, the incumbent shall demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion. Additionally, the Rehab Supervisor will assist with employee counseling, performance evaluations, staffing, and overall improvement of department quality, equitability, and morale.

QUALIFICATIONS LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

* Must hold one of the following Utah licenses:

* Physical Therapist

* Occupational Therapist

* Speech Language Pathologist

* American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

EDUCATION: Minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited university or program (Bachelor's degree is acceptable for hires with graduation dates prior to 2002).

EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience as a therapist, preferably in an acute or rehab setting. Previous leadership and management experience is highly desirable.
