Agronomy Sales Manager, East Central Missouri

Based within one of Land O' Lakes Inc, Member Owner Cooperatives in Bellflower, MO area:

The Agronomy Sales Manager will provide leadership in the development and implementation of planning and programs with assigned employees that will assist owners of the company to be financially successful in their farming operations and provide for a sustainable company operation to serve customers.

  • Manage and lead cooperative's sales team

  • Develop and implement an agronomy sales organization structure that provide focused leadership of the company's agronomy sales effort along with providing excellent services to customers in a timely cost effective manner.

  • Develop and implement long term and short term business plans and structure for the company's agronomy business unit sales effort with the support of fellow agronomy leadership team

  • Responsible for all aspects of implementation of an agronomy sales effort including:

    • Sales force structure, hiring, training, key account coverage, communication within the sales force.

    • All agronomy related marketing programs and provide input to the development of and then assure timely, complete and consistent implementation throughout the trade area.

    • Oversight of agronomy sales activities throughout the company's trade area with timely, consistent summary feedback to senior management.

  • As a leadership team member will provide input, direction, and support for all operations of the cooperative.

  • Will support company credit policy and implementation as needed.

  • Perform any actions as necessary or requested by senior management to fulfill the strategic plan and assure the success of the company.

Job Requirements:

Requires knowledge of ag retail sales, marketing, sales management, ag retail market management and accounting fundamentals. At least five years ag retail business experience with a minimum of two years sales and market management experience with people reporting responsibilities.

Skills and abilities:

Ability to effectively manage and develop employees, interpersonal skills, financial management skills for budgeting and credit management.
