JP Morgan Merchant Services is investing in a global leadership position in the rapidly evolving payments landscape with an aggressive transformation agenda. This multi-year, firm-wide strategy will build customer-centric payments solutions for business clients. It's a unique opportunity to build a modern product suite on a cloud-based, big data platform at an enterprise scale.

To help drive the transformation, JP Morgan Merchant Services has a unique opportunity for an analytical and curious self-starter who is excited to solve interesting problems, share insights and make an impact. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally up-and-down the organization, build frameworks, structure solutions, and drive results in a rapidly evolving space.

The core responsibilities of this position include:


  • Participate in planning key business initiatives, working across businesses and functions to frame strategy, structure actionable solutions, and drive execution.
  • Work cross-functionally with coverage teams, strategy, product, operations, finance, marketing and technology teams to support strategy, organization and operations-related projects.
  • Analyze client experience flows and improve target experience flows for client journeys across the payment lifecycle.
  • Partner with stakeholders on listening posts and root cause analysis utilizing information to expand upon a holistic Voice of the Client by segment, vertical, domain and/or activity.
  • Coordinate initiatives with stakeholders across the organization and monitor initiative outcomes to ensure ongoing alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Prepare presentations for senior management to provide analyses and recommendations to assist with strategic decision-making on a variety of high impact projects across the organization.
  • Support strategic industry engagements and sensitive/critical client interactions.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to help bridge gaps in communication and foster collaboration.

Experience needed:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years' experience with a documented track record of proven success in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Investment and Commercial Banking businesses with specific emphasis in sales processes preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and create goals and visions for delivery in ambiguous or new situations.
  • Ability to problem-solve and clearly articulate objectives and practical solutions to implement new processes/programs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with desire of using both in collaboration with potential partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, financial and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and a track record of successfully following through on plans and commitments.
