Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is growing our Design-Build group! We are eager to connect with dynamic CAD Designers of all levels who are interested in impacting Kiewit's design-build footprint in today's market. The selected CAD Designer will have experience with major transportation projects and will support an interdisciplinary team including; geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, roadway engineers, estimators, schedulers and construction experts to perform engineering analysis, design, and estimates in support of design-build pursuits and ongoing projects.

District Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering Group's Design Build Management team are driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects to manage their multi-disciplined design teams to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-driven engineers analyze root causes and resolve design issues before they impact schedule and budget. Particularly on large design-build projects, clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. Responsibilities

• Work with our engineering teams to develop Civil/Structural on Kiewit projects


• Provide additional support on civil and geotechnical temporary designs


• Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations


• Follow company's CAD and quality standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in CAD design in transportation


• Associate degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or similar program experience


• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and Revit (must for construction group).


• Additional proficiency in Tekla or Navisworks is a plus


• General knowledge of engineering principles and materials for structural and civil work


• Read and understand construction documents


• Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with Engineers and Designers


• Critical thinking skills necessary with the ability to plan and conceptualize


• Capable of recognizing conflicts and discrepancies with strong attention to detail


• Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)


• Construction experience is a plus
