JOB DESCRIPTION:
Orderlies in the Surgical Services primary responsibilities are to assist and transport patients. Orderlies perform clerical duties, orders and restocks supplies and other functions as needed.

* Assist with the positioning of patients and holds extremities during preps

* Assist with moving of patients on and off O.R. beds

* Transports patients in a safe and timely fashion to appropriate beds

* Assists with same day surgeries with patient shaves, stocking equipment

* and supplying clean made beds

* Assist with environmental duties and room turnover according to department policy

QUALIFICATIONS

* High School or equivalent preferred

* Minimum of one year patient care experience preferred

* Understanding of medical terminology preferred
