The LSW/LCSW provides emotional and administrative support to patients, either as a group or individual, through group process and psychotherapy. All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration. The LSW/LCSW will demonstrate the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health philosophy to Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.

Requirements

*Masters degree in Social Work received from an accredited college or university.
*Licensed in the state of New Jersey as an LSW. LCSW preferred.
*General knowledge of community organizations of modern principles of training and education; thorough knowledge of the causation, symptoms and effects of mental illnesses, proper patient evaluation and treatment needs and assessments of report writing.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others; express ideas clearly and concisely; analyze problems and situations and recommend appropriate action; coordinate several projects concurrently.
*Minimum two years experience in an inpatient psychiatric program preferred but not required.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills required.

The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders.
