Receives, stores and issues supplies for the warehouse. Maintains accurate records for receipts and reports of evening warehouse activity. Processes and picks supply requisitions generated in the MMIS. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* 1. Receives all goods delivered to the hospital warehouse from the receiving platform.

* 1.1 Immediately informs supervisor of damaged merchandise as indicated by observation.

* 2. Stores all inventory items.

* 2.1 Unpacks items in accordance with established procedures as observed by supervisor.

* 3. Issues warehouse supplies to using departments.

* 3.1 Picks \\"stock requisition\\" orders daily and accurately records quantities issued as observed by supervisor.

* 4. Replenishes shelves with supplies for cart picking aisles.

* 4.1 Fills shelves with non-chargeable items daily as observed by supervisor.

* 5. Participates in annual fiscal year inventory and assists in inventory cycle counts.

* 5.1 Organizes stock shelves to facilitate counting in advance of inventory days as observed by supervisor.

* 6. Keeps work area clean, orderly and well-organized; maintains equipment in proper and safe working condition.

* 6.1 Performs minor maintenance on warehouse vehicles and forklift charging and battery upkeep in accordance with departmental guidelines as indicated by random review of equipment log.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

1 - 2 years in a Materials Management or Healthcare setting

PHYSICAL DEMAND

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is reuired to stand and walk, The employee must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 50 pounds, and occasoinally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. The specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold or extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts;toxic or caustic chemicals.
