Job Description:

Description of role, functions and activities

The primary function of the Centralized Pricing team is to deliver accurate and timely security valuation services to both internal and external clients. Delivery of these services are achieved through a wide range of activities such as; maintaining a strict control environment, performing value add analysis and collaborating with internal teams to develop scalable production processes.

Key Responsibilities and skills:


  • The daily management of, and creating and maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment for the team.
  • Leveraging industry experience to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Process and review security level prices provided by pricing vendors.
  • Analyze and interpret price movements against market expectations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support downstream teams.
  • Liaise with pricing vendors to resolve issues and minimize risk.
  • Resolve internal client queries promptly and professionally.
  • Escalate all issues promptly and effectively to supervisor
  • Contribute to ongoing developments of the pricing control process
  • Ad-hoc project work as directed.

Qualifications:


  • 4+ years asset pricing or fund accounting experience
  • Fund Accounting Experience preferred; required need to understand impact of pricing to the NAV of a mutual fund
  • Pricing vendor knowledge, i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters
  • Knowledge of industry activities, particularly corporate actions, index tracking and stock markets.
  • Understand the effect that changes in prices and other data elements have on the market value of an account and be sensitive to these changes.
  • Self motivated and proactive with the proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and interest in stocks, bonds, options, derivative, and financial markets and products.
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-look ups.
  • Mathematical mindset demonstrating strong numerical skills.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact across departments.
  • Demonstrate customer focus, strong communication skills, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • The role holder will be required to operate flexible working hours to cover early starts and/or late finishes as demanded by the business.
  • Bachelor degree with preference in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

Requirment: The ReEntry Program is a 14-week fellowship program, beginning March 8 , 2021 and ending June 11, 2021, with the prospect of an offer for permanent employment with JP Morgan Chase at the end of the program. The program offers a reintroduction to corporate life for those returning to the workplace after two or more years voluntarily being away.
