Overview:

Provides direction and management of activities associated with Joint Commission (TJC) compliance and accreditation as well as State, CMS, and other regulatory requirements for the hospital. Assists Quality Director with accreditation and regulatory corrective action plans for the hospital. Assists with communication with TJC and other regulatory agencies. Develops, coordinates and manages a facility-wide approach to continuous survey readiness for all accrediting and regulatory surveys. Coordinates the facility's continuous survey readiness and random unannounced survey plans. Works within quality management and through peer-group to promote coordinated improvements related to continuous compliance, quality and safety. Promotes cooperation and sharing between quality departments across the hospital. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

* Experience: Prior experience in healthcare accreditation and/or regulatory compliance

* Required Education: Bachelor's degree in business or health related field.

* Preferred Experience: 3-5 years experience in healthcare in an acute care setting. Experience with accreditation and regulatory compliance. Experience in the TJC accreditation process, team facilitation, outcomes, and performance management required. Experience with CMS and Medicare/Medicaid regulations and survey processes.

* Preferred Education: Bachelors or advanced degree in clinical field preferred.

* Other: Knowledge of complex hospital systems and processes. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. Strong leadership qualities (follow through, motivation). Effective change agent. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently. Computer Skills (MS Office products)
