Job Title: HVAC Mechanic
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services seeks a HVAC Mechanic with a HVAC Master or Journeyman license in at least one State (Md. Or DC) and a CFC Universal certificate in Germantown, Maryland
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Installs, services and repairs environment-control systems in commercial buildings, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout.

Mounts compressor and condenser units on platforms or floor using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications,

Installs, services, and maintains environmental equipment/control systems.

Assist estimators with HVAC layout with in building environment.
- Seek out and correct potential problems before they occur.
Qualifications:
- HVAC Master or Journeyman license in at least one State (Md. Or DC).
- Formal apprenticeship with 4 or more years of training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman in servicing and repair of equipment.
- CFC Universal certificate.
- Siemens Apogee Factory training, JCI Metasys Factory Training
- Must be familiar with Screw Type and Reciprocating Chiller
- Must have extensive knowledge of packaged direct expansion units, split systems, chilled water piping systems, DDC, pneumatic, and electric controls
- Must have good trouble shooting skills with electrical circuits/components for refrigeration equipment and refrigerate piping systems.
- Must be able to read both ladder and line wiring diagrams.
- Must be able to communicate, work well with customers/co-workers, and handle being under pressure at times.
- Must have good organizational skills with completing paper work and managing refrigeration/parts inventory.
- Must have average or better skill level with rigging, handling, and moving equipment.
- Must currently have or be able to obtain a L Level security clearance
- Must be able to pass a background check including a drug test
