Job Description:

Overview: This position is responsible for operating refinery equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Functions:

Actively participate in all aspects of safety including near miss reporting and meetings

Understand and be able to clearly communicate equipment functions, product flow and interconnections systems

Understand and be able to clearly communicate operational and oil analytical control limits
-
Complete log sheets and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner

As needed and/or at the direction of plant supervision, take measurements, readings and product inventories
-
As needed and/or at the direction of plant supervision, take product samples and understand lab analytical database
-
Ability to run basic lab test on oil samples

Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot refinery systems as needed to identify and correct variations and problems

Be able to demonstrate the ability to safely shutdown and start up all refinery equipment

Provide instruction on plant procedures and facility operations at the direction of supervisors

Maintain good housekeeping standards in assigned work areas

Has the responsibility to report all food safety and quality issues to persons having authority to get issues resolved

Always keep work areas, buildings and grounds clean

Skill/Experience Requirements:

High school graduate or GED Equivalent required

Requires strong work ethic, dependability and a high level of dedication to safety

Good reading and writing skills preferred
