This position is located in Burlington, VT.
As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Elderwood, this position, under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities such as grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care, feeding and assisting residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
Responsibilities
LNA Responsibilities:
Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
- Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed
- Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
- Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
- Conducts LNA job responsibilities in accordance
- Attends interdisciplinary meetings as needed to provide input into selected resident's plans of care and documents restorative services provided
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
LNA Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid certification as a Licensed nursing Assistant LNA in the state of employment.
- Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
- Displays responsibility by taking ownership of quality care.

Elderwood at Burlington is a 150 bed skilled nursing (SNF) and subacute rehabilitation facility located in Burlington, Vermont. We provide Orthopedic Rehab, Speech Therapy and Physical Therapy. We also provide specialty programs including Palliative Care, Respite Care and Wound Care in addition to Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing.
