This position support PTC’s insights generation through the analysis of primary and secondary data for inline products and the pipeline to support decision analytics and business planning. As a member of the Business Intelligence and Market Analytics Department, partners with other functions to deliver actionable insights in support of currently marketed products, pipeline planning, launch preparation and geographic expansion. This position is responsible for delivering information to enable business leaders and other stakeholders to make high quality, evidence-based decisions. This includes leveraging data to provide visibility and actionable insights into business performance. The Manager, Forecasting and Analytics will support the department in patient analytics, sales analytics, and short and long term sales projections. He/she will utilize data from primary and secondary sources to evaluate market size, understand customer behavior, develop patient flow and journey in order to inform sales projections and perform relevant analyses of the current portfolio. This position works cross-functionally with several internal departments including but not limited to Global Marketing, Sales Leadership, Pricing & Market Access, Program Management, Finance, Regulatory, Clinical, and Medical Affairs. The Manager, Forecasting and Analytics will collaborate on projects such as market research that inform forecast models. The Manager, Forecasting and Analytics supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.
Job Description:
Generates business insights from various data sources within PTC to support in-line and future sales analysis and projections
Supports lifecycle planning through projection modeling, yearly budgets, updates and development of long range plans
Supports Latest Estimate forecast revisions throughout the year
Performs other analytical tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in degree in analytics, finance, marketing or science; advanced degree preferred.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of progressive, relevant forecasting or business analytics experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company or consulting firm and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market with exposure to multiple therapy areas, ideally including orphan drug products.
Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required:
Must be able to use various existing forecasting models currently in use at PTC, and create new models as needed
Demonstrated experience in the conception, development and execution of modeling appropriate to PTC products
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel – Power BI knowledge a plus. Strong interest in learning new tools and software is key
Excellent verbal and written communication and skills including the ability to create and deliver clear and impactful presentations and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
