Main Function:



  • Clean and service resident apartments, office, and service areas of facility to meet public and facility standards.

Housekeeper Duties Responsibilities include:



  • Change linens, make beds, vacuum carpets, and dust furniture, handrails, and baseboards.

  • Clean window sills, empty wastebaskets, clean and sanitize the apartment, mop vinyl floors, and clean restrooms.

  • Clean resident apartments, offices, and public areas according to scheduled routine.

  • Responsible for trash collection, removal and maintaining trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean, sanitary manner.

  • Spot-clean carpets and vinyl floors, clean screens, wash windows and curtains, wipe down resident furniture, facility furniture, and appliances as appropriate.

  • Distribute supplies, replace light bulbs, toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

  • Prepare resident apartments for new admissions and clean thoroughly immediately after discharge of a resident.

  • Note and report to supervisor problems requiring special attention such as repairs, resident non-compliance, unsafe situations, etc.

Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Ability to bend, push, pull or lift 20 lbs. as necessary.

  • Working knowledge of basic computer applications preferred.
