Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management development and delivery across HPE:

Includes setting category and supplier strategies; supply base development to meet the company and customer requirements; cross-functional leadership for supplier and HPE executive engagements; continuous improvement goal development and delivery; and cross-organizational stakeholder communications and alignment to supplier relationship management goals. Emphasis is on supplier and commodity strategy and development, business relationships, cross-functional teamwork, communications, diverse project and program management, all driving assurance and predictability of supply.  Develops the strategies, policies and tactics required to achieve objectives. Primary objective is to strengthen supplier / HPE relationships to provide mutual benefits, partnering across teams to reduce the cost of supply and meet demand requirements, and revenue goals. Adds value to the company through managing all aspects of the supplier relationship management discipline.

Responsibilities:


  • Develops, drives and delivers all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management


  • Meets with stakeholder business executives to discuss impact of supply chain strategic development on overall business and to develop forward-thinking supply chain strategies; influences the industry or marketplace for complex categories; engages with market leaders.


  • Develops and utilizes supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools.


  • Is a key input to supplier selection activities.


  • Drives supply base optimization for complex categories.


  • Leads cross-function teams in governance and management of executive, including C-suite, engagements


  • Partners with suppliers in forward- thinking strategic development and relationship building.


  • Develops strategies for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operations improvement.


  • Innovates complex business models, drives associated strategies and influences the marketplace.


  • Leads cross-organizational commodities management teams


  • Advises executive level business leaders on all elements of supplier relationship management.


Education and Experience Required:


  • University degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.


  • Requires 6 - 8+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain function.


Knowledge & Skills:


  • Excellent understanding of global procurement processes, industry, and highly complex suppliers.


  • Advanced analytical skills.


  • Advanced business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint).


  • Drives development and efficiency of supplier relationship management tools and applications.


  • Advanced communication skills, including presentation, C-suite communications and negotiation abilities.


  • Strong Program Management Skills, incorporating multiple projects


  • Advanced team leadership and influencing skills.


  • Mastery in English and local language.


  • Applies cause and effect thinking to identify complex or emerging risk and opportunity areas.


  • Subject matter expertise on the discipline of supplier relationship management.


  • Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally.


  • Advanced ability to develop suppliers strategically.


  • Excellent understanding of the company.


U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident (green card holder) required.
