People Operations Manager at PPG Industries in Huntsville, Alabama

Job Description:

As a People Operations Manager, you will act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to key leaders on the business unit (BU) leadership team and leaders deeper in the organization. The HR Manager will have a business focus mindset and translate business strategies into those issues into human resources capabilities. The People Operations Manager w ill also undertake special projects and assignments that enable the organization to innovate and grow. Project responsibilities include but are not limited to setting objectives and timelines, design thinking, data analysis and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive organizational performance through effective partnerships with business leaders to build high functioning and performing teams, strategically assessing business needs and delivering creative client-centered solutions, and providing proactive and effective coaching to leaders to manage and maximize the skills/capabilities of their team members to create an environment of empowerment and accountability.
• Partner with business leaders to implement talent development programs and initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, leadership and top talent development, succession planning and pipeline development, performance management, skill/capability assessments)
• Design and build organization structures and processes that align with strategic growth priorities and cost management initiatives and implement organization designs to establish new capability requirements, up-skill talent and drive sustainable business growth.
• Utilize data and insights to drive decision-making and proactively solve for trends.
• Collaborate with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion COE to provide leadership, guidance, advice, coaching, and education to client group to infuse DEI principles and practices into our ways of operating to build a diverse and inclusive work environment.
• Understands and uses the HR operational model to deliver solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field of study required.
• 5+ years proven experience in HR business Partner role or COE (Compensation, Talent Management).
• Workday experience is preferred.
• Proven influencing, organizational change, facilitation and collaboration skills
• Demonstrable ability to model ethical and professional behavior.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities; able work optimally with employees at all levels of the organization and move from strategic to tactical with ease.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
