JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Job Profile Summary
This position provides registration services at the free standing ER. He/she obtains accurate data collection and entry, per appropriate and required demographics, financial and medical information. Performs other registration functions (i.e., scheduling support; telephone interviewing) to support excellent customer satisfaction, favorable clinical outcomes, and timely reimbursement for care. This position will also be required to provide Security and Protective Services functions as they arise. Provides security and safety services in all areas of the building, properties, and the off-campus sites as assigned. Creates and maintains a safe, secure environment for the patients, visitors, staff, and assets through preventative patrol, investigation, and complaint resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School or GED (Required)

Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 codes, insurance verification process, and third party payors, excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills, basic computer skills. CPR Certified. Computer skills, MSDS and safety knowledge, working knowledge of Ohio Revised Code. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be mentally and physically capable to successfully complete training for, participate in, and maintain Certification s as applicable in Hospital Haz-Mat Team, Safe Weapons Handling, and Crisis Prevention & Intervention. One to two years previous Experience in a medical setting.
