* Lead and execute the planning process, schedules, and continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events, Workshops, VAVE events, etc.).
* Train and promote lean manufacturing principles for the entire Hill-Rom site staff.
* Lead our 5S Refreshment program to establish and maintain optimal standard work procedures.
* Own our OMS (Operations Management System) and lean manufacturing principles.
* Lead our VIP (Value Improvement Program) to drive projects with our local and global team in Direct Materials, Logistics, Conversion and Overhead to drive cost out of our business.
* Recommend machinery, hand tools, processes, and procedures that help improve product/component quality, reduce lead times, or reduce manpower requirements.
* Analyze actual production methods using lean manufacturing principles, benchmarks, and forms.
* Ensure single-piece-flow methods are established and maintained.
* Assist with the implementation of the single-piece-flow work-cells together with production staff to meet daily product demand with minimal staffing requirement.
* Engage with the design, review and implementation of the Local Area Storages and Point of Use Storages for work-cells in conjunction with the WHSE Manager.
* Provide the site staff with information and support regarding scheduled Kaizen events, lean manufacturing training, and sustainment updates.
* Manage our daily management metrics / KPIs.
* Other duties may be assigned.
QualificationsRequired Education, Experience and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Science or equivalent job experience is required
* 5-7 years' experience with advanced problem solving (LEAN six sigma) and change management methodologies
* consistent with establishing a culture of CI preferred
* 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
* Experience leading by influence and driving results through others not under direct supervision
* Communication - displays developed interpersonal skills: leadership, team orientation, ability to communicate at all
* levels
* Problem Solving - able to lead team in root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
* Project Management - able to effectively manage resources to complete multiple projects simultaneously
* Technical Capability - able to analyze technical data, challenge ideas and offer alternative solution
* Ability to read and analyze Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing blue prints
* Results Oriented - Must be detail oriented and have strong drive and a sense of urgency to resolve issues
* Flexibility and Adaptability - make effective decisions and maintain effectiveness under changing circumstances and priorities
* Computer Skills - Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
* Mathematical Skills - able to work with concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry and trigonometry
* Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
