Job Description:

Under limited supervision, performs a variety of routine and semiskilled tasks involving general maintenance and/or repair of client facilities, equipment and grounds. This position is at the Linde Technology Center in Tonawanda, NY.

Essential Job Duties:

• Performs minor construction work such as carpentry, paint, drywall,
• Performs minor repair work on plumbing equipment (repairing leaks, unplugging toilets & drains)
• Performs minor repair work on doors, locks and frames; ceiling tile replacement, minor roof leaks
• Performs preventive maintenance on facility equipment
• Operates site equipment such as fork lifts, manlifts and front end loaders
• Operates power tools such as cordless drills and saws, brush trimmers, floor vacuums.
• Utilizes the company's computerized maintenance management system via smartphone to accept work orders and document work performed.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• May assist in tenant improvement construction projects.
• May perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Minimum 4 year related work experience to include facilities maintenance and/janitorial.
• Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects with a minimum of direction
• Some knowledge of computers preferred
• Sound judgement and a high level of work ethic
• Must have the ability to complete required safety classes that pertain to specific job duties
