Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Coordinates and performs a wide variety of diagnostic and screening procedures in Women s Imaging Services for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Assists radiologists and medical staff with procedures such as biopsies and needle localizations. Participates in the training of new personnel. Participates in performance improvement programs. Participates in patient and family education. Observes patients and notifies appropriate personnel of significant changes/incidences.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Registered Radiologic Technologist with advanced certification in Mammography, A.R.R.T. (R) (M). 2. Minimum of one (1) year digital mammography experience preferred.3. Working knowledge of image processing, reconstruction and PACS.4. Experience with biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures.5. Current BLS CPR certification.6. Knowledge and use of proper methods of medical documentation.7. Knowledge and use of standard procedures in women s imaging.
