Responsibilities
The MyChart & Haiku/Canto Applications Analyst provides leadership and performs a variety of duties relating to the Clinical Information Systems applications, managing of mobile app platforms and web services/web portal related to Epic MyChart and Haiku/Canto applications, programs, workflow and goals. This position performs analysis, build and testing for assigned projects and assists with maintenance of the mychart web servers and mobile applications. This includes system changes across multiple environments.

The analyst will partner with UC Davis Health System IT, leadership, faculty and staff to develop and implement MyChart and Haiku/Canto system application tools. Responsibilities include: Providing leadership and serving as technical resource to the Epic MyChart Application team; designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating clinical information systems for the organization; Participating in planning, developing, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support clinical and operational practice and ensure development, evaluation, and ongoing support for all components of the program. Coordinate communication, testing, and updating any changes to support documentation for assigned operational EMR changes.

This role involves multiple projects and demands independent decision making, project management skills and superior customer service interactions with a wide range of constituents.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or equilvant experience and MyChart or Ambulatory certifications.

* Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) build and configuration.

* Experience working with multiple clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or application development.

* Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of clinical practices and principles.

* Demonstrates ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an efficient workflow and subsequent computerized process.

* Experience with advanced application of adult learning principles and clinical system design standards.

* Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects.

* Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships.

* Experience with designing and monitoring technology-enabled organizational change.

* Proficient in office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, visual presentation, etc.) and strong presentation skills.

* Experience with project management, information systems trends, and professional practice standards.

Preferred Qualifications

* Epic MyChart web server maintenance and experience with HTML and other web design related build.

* Masters degree in preferred discipline is a plus (i.e. MHA, MPH).

* Experience with coordinating system development and implementation with relevant clinical operations initiatives and informatics projects.

* Experience with methods and tools for systems development life cycle as related to clinical informatics.

* Experience with quality improvement principles, practices, and tools into system design.

* Experience with designing and monitoring technology-enabled organizational change.

* Experience working in an academic institution or large integrated health system.

Special Requirements

* Epic certifications in at least one of the following applications: Ambulatory, MyChart, Haiku/Canto

* Successfully complete training or certifications as required by hiring manager. Some travel may be required for training or certification

* Travel in the Northern California region may be required. Reliable transportation necessary for off-site visits. Mileage and travel expenses will be reimbursed per UC Policy. Occasional out of state travel may be required to attend training.

* Several years experience as an Epic system analyst, performing system configurations, testing and deployment.

* This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
