Kloeckner Metals is now hiring for a Materials Manager to support one or more national product lines!

Job Summary

The Materials Manager position is accountable for placing purchase orders for assigned product(s) in accordance with purchasing plan in order to achieve Divisional objectives and maintaining accurate purchasing files.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
• Monitor inventory levels thorough analysis of computer reports to maintain inventory investment within management guidelines and ensure acceptable levels of stock.
• Place purchase orders for stock and special customer inventory based on forecast, historical consumption or requisitions submitted by plants.
• Monitor historical purchasing information and communicate with management as required.
• Monitor excess, obsolete, aged and slow moving inventory and coordinate resolutions.
• Assist Claims Manager in prompt resolution of mill claims.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Metals Industry experience
