Utility Operator at Medline Industries, Inc. in Lithia Springs, Georgia

Job Description:

Medline is maintaining essential operations in Georgia during the COVID-19 health crisis to ensure the nation's healthcare providers can continue to work. We are currently hiring and if selected for an open position, you will begin working immediately upon completion of our pre-employment process.

The Utility Operator, under guidance from the Production Supervisor, will be responsible for operating and monitoring the packaging of finished products.

The essential responsibilities of this position are as follows:

• Keep manufacturing area clean and organized removing waste streams and bringing new materials to the floor.


• Operate sealer and shrink tunnel and other basic equipment.


• Manually handle cased goods around manufacturing area.


• Operate case packer, loading boxes, attending to faults, and manually palletizing cases when necessary.


• Operate case conveyors as necessary.


• Must follow and all safety rules and requirements to include proper lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing of proper PPE, etc.


• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.


• Works with fellow operators as a team to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.


• Meet or exceed quality standards and production schedule. The Utility Operator, under guidance from the Production Supervisor, will be responsible for operating and monitoring the packaging of finished products.
  
  

• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds of weight throughout the workday.


• Must be able to work in a noisy and constantly changing environment.


• Must use Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. dust mask, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).


• Must be able to work in elevated places and tight, small spaces.


• Must be able and willing to learn new equipment.


• Must be able to read, write, speak in English.


• Must be able to interpret and execute company policies and procedures with minimal supervision.


• Must be flexible and willing to work any shift or overtime as needed with minimal notification.
