Overview

The Active Ingredient (AI) Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for leading and developing the supply plans for key AIs across an extensive global network of sites for the planning time horizon of 36 months. This role is responsible for ensuring the execution of the approved supply plan, including the procurement and deployment of key raw materials to support the production of AIs. The AI Supply Chain Planning Manager is directly responsible for the supply reliability and optimized inventory levels, as well as, driving agility and cost competitiveness for the business. In this role the AI Supply Chain Planning Manager will lead a team of supply chain professionals and report to the AI Supply Chain Planning Director.

Responsibilities


Lead a supply chain team of professionals and supervisors focused on AI supply and master production planning, inventory management, material planning and scheduling and procurement execution functions.
- A key leader in supporting the development of sourcing strategies, annual performance goals and key talent recruiting / development programs
- Leads and participates in the Sales and Operations Planning process for AIs.
- Ensure open and direct communication between supply chain leaders and tollers/contract manufacturers/ suppliers.
- Collaborate with Global Procurement Director and team on sustaining and improving suppliers' performance, providing inputs on suppliers' operational performance.
- Participate in contract negotiations with contract manufacturers/tollers and key suppliers to ensure cost are clearly understood and profit expectations are managed.
- Collaborate with Regional planning managers to ensure alignment of goals, and execution of global supply chain strategies
- Collaborate with Global Procurement, Technical Center, and Manufacturing directors to develop and implement cost reduction / process improvement projects at contract manufacturers/tollers.
- Develop annual budget volumes for the Supply Chain organization and responsible for its implementation.
- Support the product standard cost budget process including, process fees, raw material costs and capital project investments
- Lead and participate in the implementation and execution of the use of new tollers/contract manufacturers' contracts agreements and design supply chain processes for the new source.
- Collaborate with Global Regulatory teams to ensure applicable regulations (customs, transportation, packaging, labels, EHS, environmental, etc) are routinely monitored and reviewed for compliance
- Collaborate with Global End-to-End Supply Chain Manager(s) on new AI introductions and ensure supply readiness at the targeted sites/contract manufacturers/suppliers.

Required Education

- Bachelor's degree; supply chain, business or engineering discipline preferred.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- 10+ years' experience in the supply chain, planning or manufacturing; experience in more than one functional role is preferred.
- Experience in more than one of following processes: inventory management, supply planning, demand planning, master/production scheduling, sales and operations planning, integrated business planning.
- Experience in the chemicals or regulated industry preferred.
- Proven business acumen in supply chain, commercial and financial areas. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to manage external third parties' operational performance per agreements.
- Ability to negotiate and influence without authority in a matrix organization.
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to motivate an inter-generation and cross-cultural team.
- Strong project management skills, ability coach/influence others to achieve projects' objectives.
- A strong communicator, ability to clearly communicate complexities in both written and oral form.
- Good understanding of the regulations involved in the manufacture and transportation of pesticides and related intermediates preferred.
- Good understanding of IT tools related to Supply Chain function. SAP or other ERP knowledge is required.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time in the job.
