Job Summary:

This finance position will be located in the Upstate of South Carolina and reports to the Manufacturing Finance Leader with a dotted line to the plant manager. The plant cost leader is responsible for maintaining accurate standard cost and budgets while managing actual spend as well as ensuring an effective internal control environment. This individual must partner with the Plant Accounting Leader to examine the finances related to the plant and provide insight to help solve business and manufacturing opportunities. Minimal travel is required for finance meetings at corporate headquarters located in Spartanburg, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain accurate standard bill of materials and product routings
- Communicate with Business Finance Leaders to understand the effect of the standard cost on the businesses
- Uphold standard practices in operations, budget revisions, product costing, management reporting, and forecasting
- Champion projects to eliminate non-value added tasks and cost reductions
- Drive profit, ROIC, and process improvement initiatives to help deliver cost reductions and financial performance
- Perform variance and spending analysis while providing insight to the plant manager and other manufacturing/business partners
- Perform period-end close and ensure accurate data and financial reporting


Qualifications - Required:

- BS Degree - Industrial Engineering or Accounting/Finance
- Strong user of Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented
- Organization skills

Qualifications - Preferred:

- SAP experience
