NOW HIRING - Social Studies teacher to join an Award Winning Team of professionals to teach students skills and knowledge through courses aligned with Colorado Academic Standards.

$35,200.00-$42,600.00

Social studies is the integrated study of the social sciences and humanities to promote civic competence. Providing coordinated, systematic study drawing upon such disciplines as anthropology, archaeology, economics, geography, history, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, and sociology, among others. The primary purpose of social studies is to help young people develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse society.

Victory Preparatory Academy is located just north of downtown Denver in Commerce City, Colorado. As a community located in the beautiful Rocky Mountain area and just a short 15-minute drive to the heart of downtown Denver, Commerce City has easy access to all the conveniences of a metropolitan city with the small-town feel.

We are looking for teachers committed to being change agents in education reform with a valid Colorado Teaching License with an endorsement in Social Studies.

Preferred experience and philosophical agreement with direct instruction (Madeline Hunter Method: I do, we do, you do), skill mastery, and classical education approach.

Schedules may be hybrid model for in-person and remote learning. All students have a Surface Go and all curriculum has online resources. The school follows all required local health and safety guidelines. Students are currently remote learning.
