Job Description:

In 1985, Koch Foods started as a one-room chicken de-boning and cutting operation with 13 employees. We’ve grown to be one of the top poultry processors in the U.S., but the core of who we are remains unchanged: a team that is adept, reliable and service oriented.

Job Summary:

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout Hatchery using specific chemicals. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Clean vaccine rooms 


• Clean hatcher and setter halls


• Clean egg setters and cooler rooms


• Clean and maintain breakroom, offices and bathrooms


• Mix, test and distribute footbath solution


• Change filters throughout facility


• Remove chick down and other debris from walls, vents, walkways, etc.


• Record use of chemicals and products, as well as specific tasks and checks completed

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred


• Lift 20+ lbs


• Follow and execute detailed instructions


• Stand and walk for extended periods of time


• Read and write English

Physical/Environmental Factors:

• Moderate temperatures (86F/ 30c)


• Dirty and dusty environment: chick fluff, shells, feces, contaminated eggs, blood, odor & yolks


• Exposure to significant amount of airborne dust and feathers


• Exposure to chicken manure and associated odors, including ammonia


• Humid and damp environment
