Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Works with a wide range of proprietary, industry-standard and open-source data stores and tools to assemble, organize and analyze data
  
  
• Execute mitigation/control testing with a high degree of quality and accurate results - QC/QA
  
  
• Communicate testing results clearly to business partners and control support teams
  
  
• Train MIS users on risk and process procedures to mitigate errors
  
  
• Develop positive working relationships with all business partners, and other risk and control framework partners to maintain an open environment for collaboration, risk identification, and issue solving/resolution
  
  
• Identify and communicate recommendations for business process risk mitigation and control improvement
  
  
• Responsive and accessible to partners and team, collaborates effectively
  
  
• Manage, self-organize, meet deliverables according to project schedule
  
  
• Able to document findings, keep detailed records, recommending further review and provide support for further investigations.
  
  

Required Skills

• Deep understanding of data structure and strong SQL skills (experience building stored procedures and troubleshooting data quality issues)
  
  
• Data mining, statistical tools, packages and/or modeling techniques (Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau)
  
  
• Adept at navigating relational databases
  
  
• Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences at various levels of the business
  
  
• Demonstrated very high level of professionalism and sense of urgency
  
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, achieve deadlines and deliver quality results within a team environment
  
  
• Flexible and adaptable in response to changing demands
  
  

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of advanced analytics experience
  
  
• Functional industry experience in operations, risk
  
  
• Knowledge of the mortgage industry
