Job Description:

The HR organization is undergoing a tremendous multiyear transformation effort that includes the delivery of the new me@jpmc cloud based platform. This transformation will allow the organization to be more digital and enable us to manage the best asset the firm has (people) in ways that have not been available in the past.

In support of the transformation, the HR F&BM team are looking for a Vice President candidate who will report to the firmwide HR CFO and be a core member supporting all aspects of the HR F&BM agenda. The successful candidate is outcome-focused and has a leadership style that fosters teamwork. He or she will work across the business extensively and must demonstrate the ability to navigate a complexed matrix environment.

The ideal candidate will be able to digest large amount of data, analyze, and present in a clear, articulate way. He or she will be responsible for supporting the total HR agenda, working with the HR CFO to bring together financials and other critical data to shape a story for the firmwide Head of HR. The individual must be comfortable to step into an evolving environment but still be able to work with business managers and finance teams across firmwide HR and execute within tight timelines. The VP will have exposure to senior management and the opportunity to drive value-added change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support

Key responsibilities include:


  • Helping create and drive analytics and reporting for head of HR and HR CFO agenda
  • Creating, maintaining and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
  • Conducting \"deep dive\" analyses on key issues impacting business to determine root cause and propose solutions
  • Development, consolidation and presentation of insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed
  • Being obsessed with data quality
  • Developing structure and strategy across the firmwide HR hierarchy
  • Understanding different sources used for all reporting (finance and non-finance) and developing a consistent approach
  • Partnering with Business Management and finance teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and understanding context and developing opinion on next steps
  • Collaborating with business partners across firmwide HR to ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of recurring and ad-hoc initiatives

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting and corporate finance with at least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services
  • Understands financial P&Ls
  • Experience in corporate financial analytics / understanding of key drivers
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker
  • Excellent oral & written communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Prior Essbase experience preferred
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately
  • Sound judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, and strong work ethic
  • Proactive and results-oriented, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • The candidate must be a self-starter and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary
  • Team oriented and ability to build strong partnerships
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues
