Microsoft SSIS Developer
Requirement
5 - 8 years of experience developing ETL Packages/ Framework in SSIS
Advanced level of working knowledge in SQL installation, Administering and Configuration of SSIS packages
Solid understanding on Star schema and Snowflake schema modelling, SCD types in the data warehousing projects under SSIS
Strong ETL design/Framework experience is required
Programming language experience with SQL, SSIS expressions, C# or VB.net, PowerShell and VBA
Worked on various third party software’s for ETL activities
Experience in implementing the proper deployment model, Custom Error handling, Alert and Log mechanism in SSIS project
Knowledge of business principles required in order to provide analytical support
Knowledge of MS SSIS architecture and standard methodologies for developments/implementations
Experience with database technologies like SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse
Experience in tuning/optimizing performances of SSIS load and Power shell scripts automation
Experience in documenting functional and technical design.
Superb communication skill (both verbal and written) with overseas client handling experience.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field, (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, or related technical field), or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience with Oracle MS SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services SSRS
Should possess very good communication and client facing skills
Should be able to handle incidents tickets every day and track to closure within agreed SLAs
Should be able to thoroughly understand existing Applications, Processes, Reports
Should be able to effectively coordinate with offshore team and lead the offshore team
Should be able to drive daily calls and lead the Casualty Reporting offshore team
Should proactively contribute to improvements in current processes and explore any scope for innovation in existing system
Possessing prior experience/knowledge/certifications on Tableau Hive Spark Sqoop and Kafka is an additional advantage
Should track and report status by participating in interpersonal meeting for project status
Responsibilities
Be responsible for business and functional requirements gathering, a review of existing business model, systems configurations and operating methodologies as well as understanding evolving business needs
Design and Develop the complex ETL packages using Full/Incremental Load strategy
Create an ETL design/Framework and implementation checks in SSIS packages
Understand functional side of Business requirements
Solve issues related to package debugging, performance, configuration and migration
Create data load mappings, import/export methods, Incremental /Full load data from Source systems to various targets
Setup up the SSIS package encryption for security purpose
Automate data extractions, loads and consolidations (when applicable) using batches or PowerShell scripts
Understand End-To-End data flow between various data sources and SSIS packages
Should be able to analyze and optimize SQL queries and provide tuning recommendations to SSIS jobs, time/CPU consuming queries if situation arises
Should collaborate with third party providers, plan and execute releases and hot fixes
Establish system administration processes for production support activities for data load, calculations and translations completed
Develop ETL test cases and validation scripts
System Integration testing and Support to user acceptance testing
