SCHEDULE: Full-time

Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, located on Florida's Emerald Coast, seeks a REGISTERED NURSE to join our OUTPATIENT INFUSION IV TEAM! This is a full time opportunity.

$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFIED APPLICANTS!

The IV infusion nurse will specialize in the administration of medications and fluids through an intravenous (IV) line, central line, or venous access port. Will work as a resource to the hospital by starting lines and training new nurses in obtaining and maintaining IV access.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

* Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required

* BSN preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

* Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.

* BCLS-AHA Healthcare Provider certification required at the time of hire

* ACLS within 90 days of hire required

* Successful completion of the ONS Chemotherapy Course within 18 months of hire

* Must complete basic arrhythmia class and /or pass arrhythmia test with 80% within 90 days of hire

* INCC preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

* Acute care experience required

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

* Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician's orders

* Knowledge of body substance isolation

* Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs

* Basic computer skills
