Overview

i3 is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advise, design and validate educational and training software. Candidate must be creative, adaptive, and energetic, and must be able to translate instructional directions from DOTD Programs of Instruction to design and storyboards for software development.

Responsibilities

Candidate should have experience of Long-Range Weapons Systems and/or Air Defense systems including THAAD and SHORAD. You should possess excellent communications and analytical skills; knowledge of Interactive Multimedia Instruction a plus. You will work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, other SMEs, software designers, software engineers and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations.

You will provide subject matter expertise through design meetings, storyboard creation and software content validation; quickly adapt to changing workloads, collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices ensuring a high-quality standard. This is a fast-paced work environment with plenty of room for creativity, expression and growth

Position Location: Hunstville, AL
CONUS Travel required: Less than 25%

Qualifications

Required Experience:
15+ years' relevant experience - or - BA/BS Degree and 11+ years' relevant experience
- Familiarity with a variety Air Defense and Long-Range Weapons systems
- Familiarity with PEO Missiles & Space, TRADOC Centers of Excellence
- Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of the hierarchy and lines of communication within PEO Missiles & Space and TRADOC COEs.
- Military experience in the training and employment of weapons systems
- Familiarity with software development, 3D creation, gaming is a plus.
