What success looks like in this role:

The Staff Accountant position is responsible for external financial reporting which satisfies the requirements of relevant stakeholders including but not limited to shareholders, debt holders, boards of directors, workers councils, security analysts, rating agencies and other interested parties. Responsible for internal financial reporting which satisfies the needs of Corporate and BU management. Applies generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements, company policies and procedures necessary to maintain the requisite books and records of the Corporation and Subsidiaries. Understands the company's business strategy and operates successfully, with minimal supervision.

* Provides day to day support to accurately record transactions in the accounting system(s) following proper internal controls
* Provides comprehensive accounting services and has technical knowledge to solve complex problems
* Performs and/or reviews account reconciliations
* Creates analytics based on the review of monthly financial reports and in support of the Quarterly Accounting Reviews
* Creates, reviews or processes manual journal entries as needed
* Develops or collaborates in special projects as required by senior leadership


You will be successful in this role if you have:
* Undergraduate degree in Accounting required
* CPA / public accounting experience highly desirable
* Experience in general, cost, and project accounting
* Strong Microsoft Office / Excel skills
* Database skills such as creating tables, defining relationships, developing queries, linking and importing data
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to successfully summarize data and trends
* Knowledge of Oracle, Blackline or other major Financial Systems preferred
* Audit experience helpful
* Must be a United States Citizen or have permanent resident status
