We are currently looking for an Extrusion Operator to work in our Danvers, Massachusetts facility.

Medtronic's Extrusion Technology Center of Excellence , located in Danvers, MA is looking for an Extrusion Operator II to support Manufacturing Operations by setting-up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production / processing operation.

A Day in the Life

In this role as an Extrusion Operator, you will provide support in manufacturing operations to assure that our products exceed the requirements and expectations of patients, physicians, regulatory agencies and the business.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Set up and operate plastic extrusion equipment to manufacture miniature, precision tubing to established quality standards in order to meet production demands.


• Assist engineering team in development of extrusion tooling, equipment and material.


• Know process of screw and tool design, resin characteristics, temperature control, automated feedback loops, and ancillary downstream equipment such as burst testers and slickers.


• Troubleshoot, repair and conduct maintenance on extrusion equipment.


• Ensure materials necessary for extrusions are dried to specifications.


• Mix, blend, or color raw materials as required.


• Write and execute equipment qualifications on all new or modified tooling or equipment to test and qualify items and provide documented proof that operations are within established parameters.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
  
  


• 2 years of experience required.
  
  


• May require vocational or technical education or certification.
  
  


• Requires full job knowledge of production-related systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
