About the role:
This position will be based on the East Coast.
The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) develops and fosters partnerships with National and Regional thought leaders to develop advocacy, optimize educational interchange and interpret/share market insights to effectively advance brand strategy. The goal is to create a positive customer experience that will differentiate Greenwich Biosciences from peers within the neurology field. It is a field-based position reporting to the Vice President of Sales. Our target audiences are physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and neurology resident directors. This position will work cross functionally with Sales, Sales Training, Marketing, Compliance, Medical Affairs and Market Access.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and regional thought leaders in therapeutic area to find opportunities for company and product differentiation. This will include monitoring thought leader opinions, on-label treatment patterns and health care environments that may impact our approved and potential indications.
Recognize market opportunities to build the brand.
Identify emerging thought leaders through observations and interactions with established leaders in the field.
Contribute to commercial launch strategies by meeting with thought leaders pre-launch to understand the disease state, treatment patterns, market access experiences and unmet needs in the marketplace.
Contribute to speaker program content development by providing customer insights from their experience within the Epilepsy and MS Spasticity field.
Work with field and headquarter colleagues to identify, contract and train promotional speakers. Provide feedback to speakers on clinical aptitude, delivery of appropriate material and fair balance content. Provide feedback to each speaker once a year. Manage speaker capacity decisions.
Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales and physicians to gain feedback on educational value and speaker program effectiveness. Evolve appropriate change based on feedback.
Train new colleagues on the appropriate management of peer to peer programs.
Strategize with local and regional colleagues to solve business issues blocking our success.
Plan and execute comprehensive engagement plan at major scientific congresses which will include leadership team interactions, receptions and small group meetings. Identify and attend local and regional neurology meetings that merit attention. Develop and own post meeting plan within headquarters.
Support Marketing in the execution of advisory boards, including identification of potential advisors, moderators and speakers. Assume a moderating role where appropriate.
Assist commercial division on KOL recruiting efforts for national meetings, training programs and headquarter interactions. Manage logistics, discussion topics and introductions.
Collaborate effectively with Medical Affairs to ensure efficient communication with thought leaders in line with brand strategies, tactics and guidelines.
Establish feedback systems for all activities.
Seek out information from credible medical and scientific publications, scientific meetings and seminars that will contribute understanding of our positioning within our therapeutic area.
Track and manage budgets for areas of responsibilities.
Required Experience:
7-10 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in one or more of the following: field sales, product marketing, or thought leader engagement.
