Project Variety
When you work for us, you won't be stuck in a rut of producing designs for one type of project. At Schemmer, you will have the opportunity to stretch your imagination to the limit and work on multiple project types. We work on projects large and small, from studies to construction documents, for public and private sectors, of different building types and different building systems.

The Schemmer Associates Inc. has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer in our Electrical Design Group. The position will be located in our Omaha office. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, independent, detail focused and client oriented individual.

Responsibilities include building and facility design activities, performing site surveys to obtain as-built information, and preparation of construction documents to ensure consistency with both In-House project and quality standards and to ensure that the design intent and the code compliance are accomplished. Additional responsibilities include preparation of bidding documents, review of peer and technical designer's work, participation in punch list process, and participation in job site meetings and construction observation activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with focus on Electrical
• Electrical P.E. required
• Working knowledge of Electrical Design and Building Systems
• Minimum of 8 years experience in Electrical Design focused on Architectural projects required (4 years post P.E.)
• Understanding of design and documentation standards/practices
• Thorough knowledge of engineering detailing and construction methodology
• Proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP preferred
