We operate our manufacturing facility during the day shift only from 6:30AM – 4:30 PM Mon– Friday.   Approximately once a month we operate our facility 6 AM – 11 AM on Saturdays.  Our facility is closed on Sunday.  We are a family-oriented company and we value our employees and their work-life balance.  

We are looking for a Designer/Drafter who will be responsible for designing, creating 3D modeling and 2D drawing for new and existing Frozen Beverage Dispensers’ products.

Job Responsibilities:

A qualified candidate must possess the following:


  • Generate models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks

  • Create renderings for new equipment concepts and new components and assemblies as directed

  • Create bills of materials from generated models.

  • Organize and maintain new and existing engineering records (models, drawings, etc.)

  • Interface with vendors on the production and prototyping of parts

  • Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards

  • Follow and maintain method and procedures for transfer of design packages including part and assembly drawings, BOMs, and other documentation required

  • Review and monitor part revision and history using Workgroup PDM.

  • Design of parts for rapid prototyping via 3-D printing.

  • Provide CAD technical support within FBD and train/mentor others in the use of CAD software and industry best practices

  • Assist and review work of other designers/drafters as required

  • Work with engineers and technicians to build/test new designs and prototypes.  Participate in design reviews or as a member of various decision-making boards involving design and manufacturing.

  • Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned.

Job Requirements:


  • Associate degree in graphic design, drafting or mechanical design or equivalent experience.  

  • Must have 5 years of designing, modeling and detailing electromechanical parts and systems.

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Proficient in SolidWorks.

  • Must have design knowledge of basic manufacturing-fabrication processes including machining, sheet metal and injection molding.

  • Must have the ability to understand and interpret technical information, specifications, and drawings.

  • Must have a mechanical aptitude.

  • Must have excellent integrity, attention to detail, problem solving, plan and organize, adaptable, initiative, interpersonal savvy, accountable, innovative and assertive skills.

  • Must have excellent communication skills because of daily contact with Engineering, Sales and Document Control Departments.

  • Must communicate in a clear and concise manner and have good listening skills.

  • Must be fluent in English which includes reading: the ability to read and understand words written in English, writing: the ability to formulate written words in English, comprehending: the ability to follow and understand speech in English and speaking: the ability to produce speech in English and be understood.

  • Must possess good language and reading skills such as reading manuals.  Reads, speaks and writes emails, business letters, summaries and reports.

  • Must possess math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing all units of measure.  Perform combining ration, rate and percentages.  Drawing and interpreting bar graphs.

  • Must possess critical thinking skills such as remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating.

  • Must possess good writing skills with the ability to write and create emails, business letters, summaries of projects and reports, workflow documents standard operating processes and documents. 

  • Must be able to pass background check, drug test and reference checks.

  • Must be able to perform job duties for up to 10 hours a day.  Work over-time hours during special projects.  Must be able to travel up to 5%.

Highly Desired - Experience


  • Ability to speak and write in any of the following languages: Mandarin, Spanish or French.

  • Experience with designing food, beverage, or HVAC/R equipment.

Physical Demands:


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly sitting, reaching, grasping, typing and eye/hand/foot coordination.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently walk and carry items.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally stand.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

  • This position works in a typical office, manufacturing, and lab environment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Perform job duties for up to 10 hours a day.

  • Must be able to travel 5 % of the time.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include having to hear and communicate over the phone and in person in a noising environment and having to hear alarms and bells in manufacturing areas.
