Job Summary

This Financial Analyst II position is an integral part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team and will be responsible for the analysis of the key factors driving center staffing and labor costs for 1400 centers across North America. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently are essential for this function. The analyst will be a thought leader that proactively makes recommendations based upon data insights and reports the impact of such decisions. Needs to be proactive in identifying through analysis the key factors that impact long and short-term staffing needs and the allocation of those resources to achieve business service levels. In addition to strong financial and operational knowledge, the analyst must have a demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence leaders and think strategically.

Essential Functions


  • Create, update and maintain databases and reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting of labor and other direct operating expenses. This is accomplished by analyzing past trends, forecasting future needs, and creating plans to allocate resources to maintain service levels.
  • Assists with crafting the short-term and long-term labor forecasting models, including labor, productivity, non-productive time, staffing, etc.
  • Work within Financial Planning and Analysis Team to support project management discipline throughout the NSC and Field specifically recommending and performing analytical business practices to support the team. Fulfill project management responsibilities as necessary to manage requirements and deliver on business needs.
  • Examine use and data provided by labor management tools and organizational reporting on SG&A/OPEX spend and provide recommendations for optimization and savings.
  • Recommend opportunities for business process, reporting or data gathering improvements.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project teams to help build and develop quantifiable results to measure project success.
  • Demonstrate self-direction and personal time management by leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Attends meetings and provides additional support to the Finance team as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Change Management and Communication: Basic understanding of change management activities and how communication can be used to further change management activities.

Relationships: Establish and maintain rapport, credibility and trust with team, NSC, and our field partners.

Continuous Improvement: Continually aware of opportunities to improve information flow and communications, and build sustainable and intuitive mechanisms on behalf of our field and families.


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a business-related field or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
  • At least 4 years' experience in a similar position with a medium to large sized company.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytic skills. Must be able to critically evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
  • Strong problem solving, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented with high attention to quality and accuracy.
  • Superior skills in Excel, construction and manipulation of databases
  • Experience business process mapping, including as-is and to-be processes, and process re-engineering skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
