ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Owner of process definition, flow and improvements for assigned line

  • Prepares production documents, such as work instructions procedures, job hazard analyses, inventory reports, or productivity reports.

  • Line layout and cell design with implementation

  • Engineering Change Notice administration and coordination

  • Fixture design, construction, implementation and documentation

  • Must be able to lead and direct peers as required

  • Clearly defines program objectives and scope and evaluates and prioritizes potential improvements based on gains and required effort.

  • Schedules Projects/Kaizens around gaps in all aspects of the business that include Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity needs.

  • Responsible for supporting implementation of safety and 6S standards and assure compliance with OSHA standards.

  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.

  • Assists quality personnel with analyzing defects and standardizing quality expectations

  • Provides appropriate support to department supervisors in maintaining implementation of the continuous-improvement initiatives within their respective sectors.

  • Innovate on current procedures to adapt to the changing environment.

  • Regularly monitors the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Reasonable computer skills including experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to read blueprints and/or basic electrical schematics, work orders, and other documents.

  • Must have above average communication skills.

  • Must have above average computer skills and math skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate personnel by example.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.

  • Pro-active, hands-on skills.

  • Must be able to promote a team environment.

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted / 50 + lbs. assisted.

 

Basic Training Curriculum/Annual Certification:


  • Plan, lead and teach Kaizen events

  • Emergency response and JHA Certification

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 


  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.  Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • At least two years Manufacturing experience

  • Kaizen, Lean, Continuous Improvement experience a plus
