The health care work force of the future should have the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered, community-focused, cost-effective, clinically-effective, coordinated care. To do these things successfully, the work force must be competent, flexible, and adaptive to changes in health care delivery and technology. The Business Partner, under the direct supervision of an R.N. is responsible for an efficient flow of administrative, secretarial, and clerical tasks on the patient care unit from the patient's admission through the patient's discharge. Each department may assign responsibilities and duties specific to that department.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: One year's experience in hospital or health care setting preferred.
Typing and computer skills required, medical terminology preferred.
