Position Summary

The Assembly Lead for DE-STA-CO is responsible for the coordination of scheduling of work his/her assigned shift. He/she will assign work and monitor all work for quality and timeliness, problem solving and decision making. He/she will also ensure that all safety procedures are followed. He/she will perform performance reviews and provide clear feedback to employees. He/she is responsible for the quality of production output. He/she will act as liaison between suppliers and customers and define methods and equipment used to measure process's key quality characteristics. He/she will train production workers in updated work procedures.

The Assembly Lead reports to the Plant Manager. The position is located in out TBD and has hourly employee as direct reports. The position requires the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

 

 

Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:


  • Review production requirements and allocate resources to ensure on-time delivery

  • Interpret company policies and procedures to Assembly Department personnel

  • Enforce proper clocking entries to maintain accurate time and production records.

  • Promote continuous improvement in all production processes

  • Practice and enforce safety standards, participate in the safety team; maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Develop a team effort among employees; instill a sense of pride and ownership in products

  • Review and suggest solutions and/or assist employees in problem solving

  • Monitor workmanship and work instructions to insure compliance with the Quality System.

  • Participate in regular production, OT and inventory meetings as needed

  • Follow standardized written methods of operation

  • Any and all assigned SARBOX related control responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining status report of all assembly projects on the shop floor

  • Train employees to be self sufficient and maintain employee training records

  • Authorized to perform first piece inspection

  • Authorized to conduct lift-truck licensing tests.

Job Requirements:

 

Experience:


  • 2 years Minimum supervisory experience in a machining environment

  • Competency with MicroSoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  Ability to learn Manufacturing software such as Oracle

  • Understanding of Quality Systems

Education and Certification Qualifications
