In this role, under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist:

 

• You will assist with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.


• You will administer modality treatments such as hot packs or ice packs.


• You will inform the supervisor/director when supplies are low and need to be ordered to keep adequate supplies and equipment on hand.


• You will straighten up and clean equipment and items in the treatment room and gym area throughout your shift, making sure all equipment is clean and in proper storage areas.


• You will perform clerical duties and assist with posting of patient charges in the computer order entry system.

Qualifications

• 
  

  Past experience with patient care in an acute-care setting is not required but preferred

  
  


• 
  

  American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
