Job Description:


The Partner Marketing Specialist position will report to the Sr. Partner Marketing Manager and be responsible for co-marketing campaign execution, partner events management, and partner-related online properties. This role will own the marketing elements necessary to successfully create awareness and drive demand within our partner ecosystems. The Partner Marketing Specialist will collaborate with representatives from designated partners, as well as Vertex's team focused on partner marketing, product marketing, partner management, account executives and channel sales to successfully support go-to-market activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support partner go-to-market planning for designated partners to ensure successful launches for partner integrations and co-marketing initiatives.

  • Manage co-marketing campaign execution and necessary content development related to web content, display advertising, email programs, live events, virtual events, webinars, etc.

  • Assist with partner recruitment and enablement programs.

  • Coordinate with internal marketing teams to ensure alignment with Vertex messaging.

  • Work with Sales to determine market needs and reception of partner activities.

  • Manage and track spending for your marketing activities.

  • Determine KPI's, report performance, evaluate ROI and recommend actions to improve future program performance.

  • Support department leadership and assist in other marketing-related activities as needed.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends by regularly monitoring relevant publications.

  • Travel for events and other partner efforts may be required (approx. 20% of time).

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, TRAITS:
    Working knowledge of:



    • ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.).
    • Project management or event planning processes.
    • Software deployment methods (e.g. on-premise, cloud/SaaS, etc.).
    • Ability to learn and understand core product functionality and market needs.
    • Process-oriented thinking, attention to detail, and working knowledge of marketing performance reporting.
    • Highly motivated, self-starter with exceptional organizational skills.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Relentless optimism and strong work ethic.
    • Customer-focused with a strong interest in speaking with customers regularly.


    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:


  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 2 years of experience with marketing, business development and/or product management in high-tech, IT or enterprise software space.

  • Previous track record of successful marketing program execution with measurable results.

  • Proficiency with CRM-related applications (preferably Salesforce).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
