Sr. Business Systems Analyst, Workday

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the implementation and support of the Airgas HRIS (Workday) process area solutions. The position requires an individual with a deep understanding of the human resource processes in Workday Core HCM and key integration points with the Total Rewards, Talent, Payroll and Timekeeping modules in Workday. The ability to analyze, design, test and implement systems, which enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives, is critical to the success of this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Development and maintenance of Human Resources functionality including:
Core HRIS
Compensation and Benefits Administration
Talent Acquisition and Talent Management
Payroll processing
Time & Attendance
HR Portal maintenance
Case management & decision support
Dashboard reporting support
Activities include:
Systems analysis and design
Workday configuration
Leading design sessions and solutioning workshops, as well as small projects and enhancements
Business process analysis, documentation, and presentation
Identifying gaps and working with technical team in developing functional specs
Testing and evaluation of new HR computer system functionality
Production support of existing HR computer system functionality
Support the deployment of new applications and provide post-production support related to the custom system enhancements and integration points
Interaction with users and business process owners from various functional areas
Translating end-user requirements into detailed specifications
Interaction with technical resources to define technical requirements
Re-engineering of business processes if necessary
Collaborate with cross functional teams to perform test activities (e.g. string, integration, performance, user acceptance)
Development of complete functional requirements specification, including business impact and ROI
Coordinate and assist in development and execution of system conversions
Develop procedures, processes and guidelines that are efficient and focused on the quality of the process or end-state deliverable

Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, and/or business, or equivalent work experience
6 - 8 years experience in an Information Technology systems analysis function, working with end-users to translate business requirements into systems specifications
2 - 3 full life cycle HRIS implementations is a must
Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of a full life cycle implementation and production support
Experience with complex implementations that include custom solutions around Workday (user exits, enhancements, customer programs) is a must
Experienced in leading / project managing specific pieces of work, people and/or deliverables
Good knowledge of Workday structures, configuration standards, object dependencies and tables
A technical understanding of Workday proper experience a plus
Experience working with HR portal and helpdesk ticketing systems a plus
Knowledge of EDI and other B2B / eCommerce solutions a plus
Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with all levels of the organization
Excellent analytical skills
Ability and flexibility to quickly learn new applications and business processes
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals
Proven ability to research and assess potential Workday solutions in support of new business requirements
Ability to work with teams or independently
Basic familiarity with UAT processes
Previous experience working with a PMO
Demonstrated ability to analyze and provide effective problem solving, assessing whether standard functionality can be used, and identifying reasonable custom solutions where needed
Experience with complex business requirements, specifically around wholesale distribution and retail a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Google Suite of tools
Solid organization, time management, and project estimating skills
Experience in multitasking to facilitate required changes in a timely manner.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual contributor and as a team member
Willingness and ability to travel as required
