Garter is looking for a Product Owner who will direct a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile/Scrum environment to develop and implement client facing tools that ensure engagement and retention. We are looking for a candidate with experience managing complex web applications from a functional program management standpoint.

Major Responsibilities:

• Support the strategic direction and execution of all projects and initiatives.
  
  


• Serve as product owner for a team focused on delivering value to our IT professional end-users as well as in-house teams. 
  
  


• Partner with business stakeholders to create a roadmap. Translate ideas into strategy and features. 
  
  


• Collaborate with UX designers and software developers to bring the product vision to life.
  
  


• Collect and understand feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to help shape requirements, features and end products.
  
  


• Work with business stakeholders and product team to create product plans and roadmaps
  
  


• Develop stories, epics and themes with defined acceptance criteria for development. Manage and prioritize the backlog.
  
  


• Be comfortable generating and evaluating data to guide decisions.
  
  


• Track the achievement of business objectives and goals 
  
  


• Contribute to continually improving our product development processes.
  
  


• Foresee issues on projects before they occur and raise risks to appropriate parties. Proactively create contingency plans and recommend solutions.
  
  

Professional Skills and Competencies

• Background in software development and program management is preferred
  
  


• Proven proficiency with agile development approach 
  
  


• Ability to both advise senior management on project design/direction & to lead and guide less experienced colleagues. 
  
  


• Knowledge of JIRA, Workfront, Google Analytics, Power BI.(preferred)
  
  


• Strong communication & change management skills.  Ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence to manage diverse groups to reach successful outcomes.
  
  


• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player.
  
  


• Knowledge of Gartner's technologies and applications is desirable. 
  
  

Professional Experience

• 3-5 year's business experience, with progressive responsibility, in an extremely fast paced work environment 
  
  


• In depth experience of the IT Research industry, preferably within Gartner or a similar Research or related environment.
  
  


• 5+ years successful product management experience involving implementation of large strategic projects in a complex matrixed organization with distributed virtual teams.
  
  


• Demonstrated track record of successful business analysis, design and management of optimized processes, projects and programs in a complex global workforce environment.
