Our Consulting practice seeks an experienced Internal Audit risk management professional to join our Risk Consulting team in our New York office. This Manger level position involves managing outsourced and co-sourced internal audit engagements, providing expertise in risk related areas, and overseeing multiple team members assigned to client engagements who serve as a part of the consulting team.
The preferred location for this position is our New York office. This is primarily due to the clients that the position will support. However we can also have this position in our New Jersey office and our Long island office.

Professional Responsibilities:
Client Service and Delivery
Manage, execute and lead the delivery of internal audit services
Take a lead role in both client and firm-internal presentations, work product, report development and deliverable content creation
Communicate ideas to clients in a clear and understandable manner
Demonstrate sound judgment and effective decision making in order to manage and mitigate risk on all client assignments
Leadership and Project Management
Scope client engagements, plan internal audits and prepare internal audit risk assessments
Project manage all engagements, including status updates, profitability and resources assigned
Assign and oversee the performance and quality of work performed by other consulting team members
Recognize and research options to best solve engagement challenges
Proactively engage with firm peers and leaders to drive the success of the Risk Consulting practice
Performs careful self-review of work to ensure individual quality control
Business Development, and Firm Growth
Assist and participate in proposal and business development initiatives as needed
Participate in recruiting and staff orientation programs for consultants in the practice
Participate in internal efforts to build methodologies and create business development materials
Professional Growth
Stay current on technical & industry area expertise that will benefit clients
Develop an understanding of all Risk Consulting offerings and tools required by the professional services delivered
Maintain ongoing CPE requirements and development
Qualifications:
Education and Certifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business-related field of study
An advanced degree is preferred
CPA and/or CIA designations preferred
BSA/AML and/or CAMs certifications are beneficial
Prior Business Experience
5-10 years of relevant work experience in internal audit consulting with a CPA firm or a national consulting practice
Experience working in the financial services industry
Prior work experience in BSA/AML/OFAC compliance
Additional Skills
Strong problem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of MS Project, Access, and Visio a plus
Ability to proactively manage multiple commitments and tasks
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
Experience building effective relationships with clients and colleagues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Ability to travel to clients as needed
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required
